- Dust all furniture including desks, chairs, tables (exposed areas of desk only), and knickknacks
- Dust all exposed filing cabinets, bookcases, and shelves
- Dust, clean, and sanitize all telephones and drinking fountains
- Low dusting of all horizontal surfaces up to hand height and high dusting of all horizontal surfaces above hand height, including shelves, molding, ledges
- Clean all mirrors and glass within the unit, including interior glass in partitions and doors
- Remove dust and cobwebs from ceiling areas
- Clean, sanitize and polish all bathroom fixtures including toilet bowls, urinals, and hand basins
- Empty and maintain all containers and garbage bins, including inserting liners, spot cleaning, and sanitizing
- Refill all dispensers to normal limits including napkins, soap, tissue, towel, liners, seat holders/covers, and cups
- Perform additional cleaning instructions received from client (when required)
- Establish positive rapport with clients when possible
- Provide an exceptional level of service that exceeds the expectation of the client
- Conduct all work in accordance with company safety policies
- Prepare floors for project work
- Shampoo carpets
- Strip and wax floors
- Machine scrub floors
- Must have at least 4 years experience in floor maintenance
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Must be able to work independently
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to engage in conversations with staff
- Pride taken in providing clean commercial environments to clients
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated sound work ethics
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
- Flexible, adaptable and able to work effectively in a variety of settings
- Works well independently and in a team environment
- Minimum of one (2) years of experience in cleaning services
- Experience in commercial cleaning is preferred
- Must have previous floor work experience such as buffing, stripping & waxing, shower scrubbing, carpet shampooing and upholstery cleaning
- Must hold a valid Ontario class G license
- This position requires a high level of physical exertion
- Moderate intensity of sensory effort is required
